Our Place Doula Services
Our Place Doula Services is the heart of our maternal health ministry. We believe birth is holy ground, and every woman deserves to be cared for with dignity, discernment, and compassion. Through coaching, advocacy, and maternal home visiting, we equip families with the tools and confidence they need for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. While we serve all families with love, we are especially committed to bridging the gap in Black maternal health outcomes—standing where the healthcare system often falls short. Meet the Owner – Jessica Yvonne Parham
Jessica Yvonne Parham isn’t just a doula — she’s a force. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, nationally certified labor & delivery nurse, and powerhouse Nurse Coach, Jessica, is the founder and visionary behind Our Place Doula Services and Our Place Center for Women & Families.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Jessica has literally delivered babies around the world — from military bases overseas to hospitals here in the States. Now, she's turned her mission homeward, serving families across Columbus, Ohio, with a passion to end preventable maternal and neonatal deaths, especially in communities of color.
Her care is Holy Spirit-led, clinically sharp, and deeply personal. Jessica doesn't just show up — she shifts the atmosphere. Every birth, every coaching session, every conversation is an opportunity to bring hope, healing, and wholeness.
